Spain Inspired: at Studios on the Park

Spain Inspired: at Studios on the Park

Traveling to Spain with an amazing group of women in October of 2024 was an experience I'll never forget. The trip was led by the a faith based organization called Anna's Circle, focused on the mission of training women to effectively share the good news about Jesus. During the trip, we visited three different Bible based churches in three areas of Spain, Madrid, Granada and Mallorca. How sweet it was to connect with like-minded women in another part of the globe, sharing a common hope and purpose!

Other highlights of our travels included taking in the sites of Granada while walking along cobblestone streets, visiting the Prado Museum in the heart of Madrid, with its large collection of European classical art, and eating some of the most delicious paella in Mallorca. Enjoy this group of paintings, inspired by a beautiful adventure of connection, wonder, art and culture!

Lastly, I want to give a shout out to Chalk Hill Artist Residency, where I was artist in residence for two, wonderful weeks! There, at the Warnecke Ranch and Vineyard in Sonoma County, I had the time and space to create these paintings from photos I took while traveling in Spain. For more information about Chalk Hill, or if you're an artist interested in applying for a residency, visit chalkhillresidency.com.
